“Dishant took the time to thoroughly assess our property, explain the available options, and provide a detailed estimate that was easy to understand. What really stood out was his knowledge of the industry and his willingness to answer every question without any pressure or sales tactics.”
We're Gupta Renewables — Calgary's local solar team
Locally owned, locally run, and answerable to the people whose roofs we work on. Here is who runs Gupta Renewables, where across Alberta we have worked, and what our customers say about it.
Gupta Renewables was founded on a straightforward idea: solar should be accessible, affordable and stress-free — and it usually isn't, because the industry has a habit of making a simple decision feel complicated.
We're proudly locally owned and operated in Calgary, and we're now extending our service to Edmonton and Red Deer. From your first quote to long after your system is switched on, you work with a local team that treats every project like our own.
The person behind the company
Gupta Renewables was founded in 2023 by Dishant Gupta, and if you deal with us you will probably deal with him. That is not a marketing line — our Google reviews mention him by name, which is unusual for a company of our size and is the thing we are most quietly proud of.
Dishant started the business because the quotes he saw being handed to Alberta homeowners were built to close a sale rather than to explain a system. The company runs on the opposite instinct: show people the numbers, tell them when the answer is "not yet," and be the ones who pick up the phone in year seven.
Where we have worked across Alberta
200 kW+ of solar installed across Alberta, on homes, businesses and farms.
What our customers say
We are not going to pretend that is a large number — it is a young company. What it does mean is that the people who have taken the trouble to review us describe specifics rather than sentiment: Enmax approvals, permit timelines, inspections, the paperwork we handled, the follow-up after switch-on. You can read every one of them on Google, unedited — including the ones that arrive after this page was written.
And if something goes wrong, the number you call is the one you called for the quote. We would rather hear about a problem while it is still a small one than read about it later.
“They honour their promises and commitments in a professional way… Always there to connect and update you on every stage of documentation and process. They were ahead of their schedule and done the installation and [operationalisation] in a professional way.”
“Gupta renewables installed a 10 panel system on my house and the whole process was communicated clearly and honestly… This included approval from the city and enmax, the greener homes program, installation timelines, post [installation] inspections, solar clubs and carbon offsets. The installation team was knowledgeable and tidy and the final product looks great.”

How we work — equipment, warranties and after-install care
Tier 1 panels, because a warranty is only worth as much as the manufacturer standing behind it, and Tier 1 is the bankability rating that says lenders still expect them to be there.
A performance warranty that runs 25 years and up to 30, depending on the panel specified for your roof. A separate 25-year product warranty. Twenty-five years on the microinverters, twenty on the racking, and our own 10-year workmanship guarantee on the installation. Five different things with five different lengths, which almost nobody explains — so we wrote a page that does: see what each of the five warranties actually covers.
When a claim has to be filed, we file it. Chasing a manufacturer through a warranty process is the part homeowners dread, and it is ours to do rather than yours. Our installation work also carries liability coverage, and we are happy to produce the certificate before anyone puts holes in your roof.
And after-install care that is an actual commitment rather than a closing line. One number, one team, and the same people who installed it.
Want to talk to the people who would actually do the work?
That is the only kind of conversation we have.
